Distinguished – Inoutic/Deceuninck is the first PVC window system supplier to receive RAL certificate for adhesive bonding technology
The PVC window system supplier Inoutic / Deceuninck has been awarded the RAL quality mark for its adhesive bonding technology, making it the first and currently only bonding technology on the market to receive the RAL certificate. This distinction will enable Inoutic / Deceuninck GmbH to further underscore the outstanding quality of its products and actively assist its partners and window manufacturers with sales promotion measures.
The Inoutic bonding technology enables innovative adhesion of insulating glass and PVC window profiles in the sash overlap. It uses the 2-part silicone adhesive/sealant Ottocoll S81 of the company Otto Chemie that creates a static bond between the insulating glass unit and the sash profile and substantially improves the mechanical characteristics. Floor-to-ceiling window elements with an overall height of 2.6 m can now be realised with standard sash profiles. Standard size windows remain stable even without steel reinforcement, providing an improved thermal insulation in the profile cross section. The Inoutic bonding technology is easy to apply to standard insulating glass sheets in both manual and industrial production. These processing advantages as well as the guarantee of tested quality sharpen the window manufacturer’s competitive edge in today’s fierce sales environment.
The adhesive bonding technology was already launched in 2009 for the Prestige profile range and has since been certified by the testing institute ift Rosenheim. The extensive mechanical and climatic testing carried out by the institute in compliance with RAL requirements verifies the high quality of this technology. This product excellence has now been affirmed through the award of the actual RAL certification. This series of tests is only passed by PVC frame systems with bonded glazing that can prove compliance with the qualification stipulated in the guideline RAL-GZ 716/1, Section III, Part A. In the course of furnishing this proof, besides the suitability of the adhesive, also the mutual compatibility of the individual components (PVC profile, adhesive, sealing and edge bond of the insulating glass) are tested and verified. Representative window samples are also inspected for their suitability for the intended use and tightness.
The aim of the Quality Assurance Association for Plastic Window Profile Systems (Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme e.V.) is to serve as a reliable orientation tool for consumers and to prevent them from making expensive mistakes. The distinguished products are inspected on a regular basis in order to ensure their consistent quality. The RAL quality mark is therefore a “visible, neutral and objective identification of high-quality products and services”, establishing excellent unique features in an environment of hard competition.
