Careers: Personnel
HRIS (human resources information
system)
In 2007, the personnel administration was further computerized, with the objective of providing and distributing information faster and better within the Group.
Horizon
The objective of the Horizon program is to develop a career policy for all employees, taking into account their age and employability, and in which a gain in knowledge and skills is an essential element. In practice this means, for instance, a definition of competences, procedures for self-assessment and in assessment by the supervisor and training programs using the PCs.
An adapted program, which is based on a review of competencies and performance, has led to an individual development plan that is followed by training programs.
Acquiring new knowledge and skills is important for all employees. Continuous training is part of the company culture.
Organization of learning in cooperation with ESF (European Social Fund)
Deceuninck has worked closely together with ESF for several years. The fund allows more attention to be given to low-skilled and older employees. Apart from the Horizon program, training was given within the scope of the “Deceuninck excellent learning” program in 2007.

Human resources development
The creation of an international Human Resources Development structure offers support in achieving group objectives.
Concrete objectives are:
- Focused career promotion planning;
- Retention of high quality and flexible employees;
- Focused training to support the needs of the organisation and the individual;
- Guarantee the quality, knowledge and expertise of all HR employees.
Besides a concrete action plan, a detailed manual was also developed.
